Le Xuan's personal recount
Hello world(: This is Le Xuan once again. My personal recount for this week is about today.
Yesterday morning, my mother woke my sister and I up for breakfast at KFC. I got ready and waited for my sister. But as KFC breakfast ends at 11am, we could not afford to wait for my sister to finish getting ready. My mum decided to send me to KFC first so I could queue up to buy the food. I was reluctant to go alone but I had no choice. On the way, I was fretting over minor possibilities that might hinder my purchase.
Upon reaching, my worse fears came true. There were no seats, a long queue, and time was running out. I admit, I was afraid. Of failing to buy the food, find a seat, and successfully move all four sets to the table. In the midst of all my worrying, it turned 11. The menu was instantly changed and people started getting out of the queue. I started panicking. I didn’t know what to do. Stay or leave? What do I buy now? Then I called my mum who just told me to “call my dad”. In turn, my dad just told me to “decide whether to stay or go to Macdonalds, buy whatever you want”. At that point in time that advice was as good as not giving any at all.
I choose to go to Macdonalds and buy 3 sets of McGriddles for my dad, sister and I, and 1 set of Hotcakes for my mum. As I was waiting for the food, my sister called to tell me she wanted Hotcakes instead of McGriddles. I was so frustrated by then. Nonetheless, I changed the order much to the annoyance of the cashier. Coincidentally, the lady beside me changed her set of Hotcakes to Mcgriddles.
Finally, after paying up, finding a seat and moving the food, I felt a great sense of satisfaction accomplishing my task.
Signing off,
